Chief Executive Officer
Mark Hikel serves as Chief Executive Officer of Chronos Solutions. Mr. Hikel is a visionary and innovative business leader with more than 28 years of experience in executive management positions for multi-site operations, turnarounds, startups, and Fortune 500 companies. Mr. Hikel previously served as CEO of Spokane Valley, Washington-based UPF Services, a leading provider of risk management and loss mitigation real estate services that was acquired by Chronos. Prior to joining UPF Services, Mr. Hikel was the President of Mortgage Investment Associates, where he was responsible for architecting and executing the organization’s short and long-term corporate operations, sales, marketing, and e-commerce strategies. Mr. Hikel was co-founder and president of HomeAmerica Financial Services, Inc., and has held executive positions with Loraca International, Bank One Financial Services, The CIT Group and Commercial Credit Corporation.
Chief Financial Officer
Paul is responsible for managing Chronos Solutions’ financial systems and overseeing the company’s operational infrastructure and expansion into new market segments. Prior to joining Chronos Solutions, Paul was associated with the financial and operational consulting firm CMF ASSOCIATES, LLC, serving as Interim Chief Financial Officer for three private equity backed corporations during successful transitions and acquisitions.
Previously, Donofrio was CFO of Binder & Binder, a social security disability insurance advocacy company owned by HIG Capital with 50,000 active clients, 1,000 employees and 32 offices nationwide. While at Binder, he built out the finance and human resource staffs and installed a new accounting and financial reporting system. Earlier in his career, Donofrio also provided expertise as EVP and CFO in solving a broad range of transitional challenges at HYPRES, INC., The Innovative Companies LLC, Andrea Electronics Corp. and DHB Industries, all based in New York.
With a Masters in Economics from Brown University and a B.S. in Public Accounting from Clarkson University, he began his career as an asset management consultant at Cost Free Internal Profit Systems and then went on to Eaton Corporation in accounting, finance and estimating and pricing roles. He later joined Microwave Power Devices, Inc., a company that went public during his tenure and was subsequently sold to Ericsson.
Executive Vice President
Matt is a 23+ year financial services executive. Primary responsibilities presently at Chronos include leading the business development and product development teams. Chronos provides services to banks, mortgage servicers, lenders, and institutional investment firms with primary services that include: asset management, online marketing/auctions, valuations/appraisal services, Trustee Sale Plus and CWCOT, real estate acquisition services, advisory services and title/settlement services. Prior to Chronos, Matt held senior level operation and business development positions within firms such as Solutionstar, Carrington, EMC Mortgage and Countrywide.
Chief Information Officer
Arun Pimpalapure is CIO for Chronos Solutions. He has served in various senior and corporate leadership roles and possesses an extensive knowledge of financial services technology, IT infrastructure, data center operations and software development. Arun’s unique combination of technology expertise and business strategy and proven capabilities in designing, implementing and managing complex and cutting edge technology solutions make him uniquely qualified to engineer solutions for Chronos Solutions.
Prior to joining Chronos Solutions Arun headed up the technology division for Tenura Holdings, Inc. of Austin, Texas. While at Tenura, he led several initiatives, including technology alignment, infrastructure, enterprise architecture, IT service delivery optimization and resource alignment. Before that, he headed up Technology at Pacific Union Financial LLC in Irving, Texas, leading the company’s enterprise-wide IT activities, including strategic planning, security, application development and IT operations. He led the project to build the company's technology infrastructure from the ground up and implemented lending and servicing systems that helped sustain the firm’s rapid revenue growth. He has also held leadership roles at American Home Mortgage, National Residential Mortgage in Scottsdale, Arizona, Optimal Blue, Fiserv, Inc. and Bear Stearns. Arun earned his MBA from the University of Texas, Arlington, after getting his BA and Masters in Business Economics from the University of Sagar.
Jodee serves as General Counsel for Chronos Solutions. Jodee is responsible for all of the legal affairs of the company and its subsidiaries. She is a strategically focused corporate business attorney with diversified experience at publicly and privately held companies, providing counseling and directing company policy on a broad range of issues. She works as an integral member of the executive and planning team, guiding the company's initiatives, such as developing long term strategic plans, integrating risk management and compliance requirements and negotiating complex and strategic contracts with the federal government and the company's commercial customers.
Jodee is a licensed attorney and is skilled in serving in senior in-house counsel leadership roles for companies in the fields of information technology (IT) supplies and services, technical and professional services, and internet and energy consulting services. Jodee's areas of practice include managing all corporate legal matters relating to federal government sales and contracting, as well as negotiating and drafting complex corporate agreements, including multi-state real estate leasing portfolios, merger and acquisition (M&A) agreements, facility and equipment leasing, IT licensing, technical services and financing agreements.
Jodee received her Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore and is a member of the Maryland State Bar. She graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Mary Baldwin College with a degree in Mathematics. Jodee is an active member of the Washington Metropolitan Area Corporate Counsel Association (WMACCA), the National Contract Management Association (NCMA) and the Association of Corporate Growth, National Capital Chapter (ACG).
Matt Martin serves as Chairman of Chronos Solutions, and as a member of the Board of Directors. In this role, Mr. Martin focuses on setting the strategic direction of the company including market and product development, M&A, client expansion, and developing an environment and culture to recruit and retain top tier talent. Mr. Martin is an accomplished executive in all facets of real estate finance, including loan origination, servicing, and default.
In addition to serving as Chairman of Chronos Solutions, Mr. Martin founded and serves as Chairman of Sperlonga Data and Analytics Systems, a company that provides solutions to the homeowners association industry (www.sperlongadata.com). Lastly, Mr. Martin is the Managing Director of MJM Capital, a private investment fund with a variety of businesses and real estate assets in its portfolio.
Perry Steiner serves as Vice Chairman of Chronos Solutions, and as a member of the Board of Directors. Prior to joining Chronos, Perry was Managing Partner of Arlington Capital Partners, where he was a partner for 15 years. Arlington Capital is a private equity fund with over $2 billion of capital under management, investing in middle market companies in a variety of industries. Before joining Arlington, he served as the President at Digital River (NASDAQ: DRIV), and was on their board of directors for 18 years leading to the sale of the company in 2015. He joined and invested in the company at a valuation of $30 million, and sold the business for $850 million. He began his work in private equity at Wasserstein Perella Ventures and TCW Capital, and started his career in the investment banking division of Goldman Sachs. He has been a member of the board of directors of over 15 businesses. Perry received an M.B.A. in Finance from Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. in History from the University of Michigan.
