Matt Martin serves as Chairman of Chronos Solutions, and as a member of its Board of Directors. He focuses on setting the strategic direction of the company including market and product development, M&A, client expansion, and developing an environment and culture to recruit and retain top-tier talent. Mr. Martin is an accomplished executive in all facets of real estate finance, including loan origination, servicing, and default.
In addition to serving as Chairman of Chronos Solutions, Mr. Martin founded and serves as Chairman of Sperlonga Data and Analytics Systems, a company that provides solutions to the Homeowners Association industry (www.sperlongadata.com). Lastly, he is the Managing Director of MJM Capital, a private investment fund with a variety of businesses and real estate assets in its portfolio.
Perry Steiner serves as Vice Chairman of Chronos Solutions, and as a member of the Board of Directors. Prior to joining Chronos Solutions, Mr. Steiner was Managing Partner of Arlington Capital Partners, where he was a partner for 15 years. Arlington Capital is a private equity fund with over $2 billion of capital under management, investing in middle market companies in a variety of industries. Before joining Arlington, he served as the President at Digital River (NASDAQ: DRIV), and was on its Board of Directors for the 18 years leading up to the sale of the company in 2015. He joined and invested in the company at a valuation of $30 million, and sold the business for $850 million. He began his work in private equity at Wasserstein Perella Ventures and TCW Capital, and started his career in the investment banking division of Goldman Sachs. Mr. Steiner has been a member of the Board of Directors of more than 15 businesses. He received an MBA in Finance from Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and a BA in History from the University of Michigan.
Chief Executive Officer
Mark Hikel serves as Chief Executive Officer of Chronos Solutions. Mr. Hikel is a visionary and innovative business leader with more than 28 years of experience in executive management positions for multi-site operations, turnarounds, startups, and Fortune 500 companies. He previously served as CEO of Spokane Valley, Washington-based UPF Services, a leading provider of risk management and loss mitigation real estate services that was acquired by Chronos Solutions in 2016. Prior to joining UPF Services, Mr. Hikel was the President of Mortgage Investment Associates, where he was responsible for architecting and executing the organization’s short and long-term corporate operations, sales, marketing, and e-commerce strategies. Mr. Hikel was co-founder and president of HomeAmerica Financial Services, Inc., and has held executive positions with Loraca International, Bank One Financial Services, The CIT Group and Commercial Credit Corporation.
Executive Vice President, Corporate Development & Strategy
Andrew Gladston currently serves as Executive Vice President of Corporate Development and Strategy for Chronos Solutions and is responsible for mergers and acquisitions, as well as financing and strategic growth initiatives. With more than 15 years of experience working in M&A and financing, Mr. Gladston has executed in excess of $5 billion in M&A deals and participated in over $5 billion in financing transactions in support of private equity firms, public and private corporations and individual business owners across multiple industries. Prior to joining Chronos Solutions, Mr. Gladston held senior positions within Macquarie Capital and UBS Investment Bank.
Senior Vice President of Operations
Michelle Steinmetzer was the Chief Operating Officer for UPF Services from 2008 to 2016. UPF Services was acquired by Chronos Solutions in July 2016, which she now holds the title of SVP of Operations at Chronos Solutions since July 2016 to current. While COO of UPF Services, Ms. Steinmetzer contributed to the overall success of the company by navigating the transformation of the company successfully through the real estate downturn years between by developing operational policies and procedures, implementing expense control measures with automation, enhancing our customer interface to improve functionality, leading integration products with key industry loan origination & servicing platforms, offsetting the rapid loss of customers due to FDIC closures. These actions resulted in successfully adding 145 products and $9.6 million in additional annual revenue comparing 2008 to 2015. More importantly, Steinmetzer addressed the needs of new and existing clients and increased efficiency throughout the organization by automating fulfillment systems for maximum efficiencies, saving the company $1.2 million annually. Ms. Steinmetzer’s awareness of compliance in the industry also contributed to a successful implementation of SAS70, now SSAE16, certification for UPF Services ahead of this certification being part of the clients Vendor Management requirements.
Chief Information Officer
Arun Pimpalapure, has served in various senior and corporate leadership roles and possesses an extensive knowledge of financial services technology, IT infrastructure, data center operations, and software development. Arun has a unique combination of technology expertise and business strategy and proven capabilities in designing, implementing, and managing complex and cutting edge technology solutions. Prior to joining Chronos Solutions Mr. Pimpalapure headed up the technology division for Tenura Holdings, Inc. of Austin, Texas. While at Tenura, he led several initiatives, including technology alignment, infrastructure, enterprise architecture, IT service delivery optimization and resource alignment. Before that, he headed up Technology at Pacific Union Financial LLC in Irving, Texas, leading the company’s enterprise-wide IT activities, including strategic planning, security, application development, and IT operations. He led the project to build the company’s technology infrastructure from the ground up and implemented lending and servicing systems that helped sustain the firm’s rapid revenue growth. He has also held leadership roles at American Home Mortgage, National Residential Mortgage in Scottsdale, Arizona, Optimal Blue, Fiserv, Inc. and Bear Stearns. Mr. Pimpalapure earned his MBA from the University of Texas, Arlington, after getting his BA and Masters in Business Economics from the University of Sagar.
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Corwin possesses an extensive knowledge of Finance and Accounting across a broad spectrum of industries, with more than 25 years of experience in executive level management positions. In addition, Mr. Corwin has a strong knowledge of IT and software development, and has managed these functional areas in a number of his prior positions. He previously served as CFO of Spokane Valley, Washington-based UPF Services, a leading provider of risk management and loss mitigation real estate services that was acquired by Chronos Solutions in 2016. Prior to joining UPF Services, Mr. Corwin was a full-time consultant for Robert Half International, providing consulting services in a wide variety of industries, including Fortune 500 organizations. In addition to serving as CFO for various organizations, Mr. Corwin served as an adjunct professor for more than 15 years with various Universities, providing instruction in Finance, Accounting and Economics. Mr. Corwin holds a BA with a double major in Accounting and Business from Northwest Nazarene University, an MBA from Boise State University and is a CPA.
Jodee McGrath, J.D.
As General Counsel for Chronos Solutions, Jodee McGrath is responsible for all of the legal affairs of the company and its subsidiaries. She is a strategically focused corporate business attorney with diversified experience at publicly and privately held companies, providing counseling and directing company policy on a broad range of issues. She works as an integral member of the executive and planning team, guiding the company’s initiatives. Ms. McGrath is a licensed attorney and is skilled in serving in senior in-house counsel leadership roles for companies in the fields of information technology (IT) supplies and services, technical and professional services, and Internet and energy consulting services. Her areas of practice include managing all corporate legal matters relating to federal government sales and contracting, as well as negotiating and drafting complex corporate agreements, merger and acquisition (M&A) agreements, IT licensing, technical services and financing agreements. She received her Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore and is a member of the Maryland State Bar. She graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Mary Baldwin College with a degree in Mathematics. Ms. McGrath is an active member of the Washington Metropolitan Area Corporate Counsel Association (WMACCA), the National Contract Management Association (NCMA) and the Association of Corporate Growth, National Capital Chapter (ACG).
Lori Marker, SPHR
Senior Vice President of Human Resources
Lori Marker is responsible for the management and development of all HR strategies at Chronos Solutions. Ms. Marker possesses more than 20 years of proactive human resource and business leadership experience across diverse industries, including manufacturing, financial services, real estate and health care. The bulk of Ms. Marker’s experience is in small to medium-sized national companies, where she has built the infrastructure of human resource departments for start-up companies, and has also provided guidance and leadership in growth and stable organizations. Her broad experience includes benefits, employee relations, talent management, compliance, reporting and leadership development. A strategically focused senior leader, Ms. Marker serves on Chronos Solutions’ Executive Committee and collaborates with and provides guidance to its business unit leaders to ensure that the organization is able to meet aggressive growth and profitability goals, while retaining its leadership position in the real estate industry. Ms. Marker is responsible for the establishment of the Stewards for a Better Chronos, which strives to improve the engagement and culture of a diverse workforce of more than 300 team members. Ms. Marker holds a BBA in Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management from the University of North Texas, is Certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources, and is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Human Resource Development from the University of Texas at Tyler. She is a member of DallasHR and the Society for Human Resource Management.
